This is a drag to play, the iOS version is the better game, but also buggy
I just don’t understand app developers who come up with GREAT APPS but then totally drop the ball in development by sending out a half-baked version of the app that is very buggy, slow and it’s painfully obvious nno one ever tested it prior to putting it up for sale. There’s no excuse for the problems with this app because it came out ove4r THREE YEARS ago. Here’s my particular issues with THIS app.
1) I wish the interface wzas more like the iOS version with a puzzle piece “well” off to the side where I could see the various pieces and draw out the one’s I’d like to use at any given moment - rather than having a big messy cramped pile of puzzle pieces all over the board.
2) The the male and female interconnecting tabs on a GREAT DEAL of the pieces all look the same so 90% of you time is spent making incorrect piece connections. Also different shaped pieces would make the puzzles much less frustrating, because as it is now every pice with a patch of blue appears to connect to ALL the other blue pieces, and in actuality they don’t.
3) The “connection made tone” should be much more distinct like in the IOS version so you REALLY KNOW when you’ve made a connection, especially when nearly ever piece APPEARS to be a correct connection (See number 2 above). Maybe have a “incorrect connection tone” since it is so difficult to actually know if you made the right connection with 10,000 pieces of the same 4 basic p;iece shapes with similar shaper interconnectivity tabs.
4 give us a larger work area so we can sub-sort partially completed sections. The play area is SOOOOOOO CRAMPED everything is just one big MESS
5 Fix the bug that on many occasions does not actually move thye puzzle piece you clicked on.
6 Overall, make the mac interface the same as iOS, buty also take the time to fix all the bugs, lags, sticky pieces, delaymed movements, stalls, etc…and actually TEST is beofre you start selling it. Many of the bugs are so obvious, playing a round or two before selling the game would have brought a bunch of obvious flaws to the forefront where you wouldn’t have embarrassingly ovious bugs in the version of the game that’s for sale.
7. It would be great if this series of puxxle apps you publish weren’t dumb…not dumb as in being stupid, but dumb in that you scores and puzzles on each of your devices don’t communicate together - a simple dropbox database connection would grant a lot of personalization, interactivity, and game continuity no matter what device you’rfe on.
8. It looks like you recr4eated the wheel at least TWICE because it appears the whole mac interface is a total different animal than the iOS. That’s a waste of time for you, and a big continuity and interactivity drag for all your players…because there isn’t any.
Overall you’ve got a great set of apps, now you just need to fix the bugs, and annoyances, polish it up a bit, TEST it THEN re-release it with it’s full potential. It’ll clean up this sector of the game market (but not as it stands right now).
